We’ve finally seen the Sun early Friday morning and it looks to be the same Sunday. It will be good as the Pacific Coast Open gets underway at Santa Barbara for 2009. The brackets are the same as the recent America’s Cup Polo Tournament, so everybody knows their opponents.
It gets underway on Sunday at 10 a.m. with a double header. Lucchese and Zacara hook up and it should be a good one. Just a field over it will be ERG and Patagones with the flying Avendano’s in a big game. After lunch you can watch an explosion as speedball Jeff Hall takes on the Redhead as WWW.KK (Kris Kampsen) who is on fire lately. He will have to be again on Sunday! For a little after lunch entertainment it will be the Flying Carpets of Mansour with Big Ben Soleimani at the helm taking on the Rocky Mountain Man, Big Bob Jornayvaz and his Valiente in their sky blue shirts. It should be a very fun day if that dang fog just stays away.
The 2009 Pacific Coast Open will have 8 teams and players from 8 different countries including: The USA, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada and the Dominion Republic. A couple players are from California. They are all here and ready to win. If they are not ready, its too late for the party. So come on out to Santa Barbara Polo Club if your nearby. If you are south just head to party central as San Diego Polo clubis back in full swing and its right next to the Del Mar Race Track. If you are up yonder in the Northern Lights, stop by “paradise” as Calgary Polo is Rockin’ in the Rockies.
See ya @POLO.
