Our season is in full swing. Last week Eastern Horticulure sponsored the McHugh 6 goal tournament with the finals taking place on a beatutiful Sunday afternoon. Livin’ the Vision won the event with Doe Run winning the consolation final which took place on Saturday. The Chester County Hospital Polo Cup which took place on the 13th of June brought record crowds to BPC with attendance in excess of 500 people. This weekend, June 27th, is the Philadelphia Cup sponsored by Algar Ferrari and the Racquet Club of Phildelphia. Come out and support the great work of the World Childhood Foundation by purchasing a luncheon prior to the game and joining us for music after the game in the members area. July 4th brings 6 exciting women’s teams to the club and we will be holding 9 polo games starting on Friday July 2nd at 1pm. 1st Annual Philadelphia Cup

Your friends at Philadelphia Style and Miss Philadelphia have announced the 1st Annual Philadelphia Cup!!
Beginning at 1:30 p.m. on June 27, The Brandywine Polo Club in Toughkenamon will host the benefit along with The Philadelphia Racquet Club and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce and Mexican Cultural Center.
All proceeds from the $35(members) and $40 (non-members) tickets to this event will go towards the World Childhood Foundation founded by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden.
The main polo match will begin at 3 p.m., and special guests include the Brandywine Polo Club’s Brand Ambassador Maria Papadakis and Andrea Helfrich who was recently crowned Miss Philadelphia 2010. Juan Martinez Baez (MX), Dominic State (UK), Pablo Avalos (ARG), and Jose Pasten (CHI) are amongst the featured International Polo Professionals who will also be making an appearance.
Chester County Hospital Cup sets record attendance at BPC
The 4th Chester County Hospital Polo Cup set record attendance levels at the club with crowds in excess of 525 people. Jodi Knapp, event coordinator, for the Turks Head Auxiliary was pleased with the turnout and was complimentary to all the hard work here volunteers put into making this day such a success for the hospital. While the final figures are still not in the expectation is that over $30k was raised to benefit this important regional hospital.
VFMA wins the 0-2 Goal Amateur Cup
A Valley Forge Military Academy alumni team lead by captain Justin “Flash” Flood won the Amateur Cup on Sunday June 13th over a young team from Lexington, KY. The match was close until the last chukka when the superior horse power of the cadets proved pivotal. VFMA promises to be back to defend it’s title in the BPC 6 goal arena Challenge in July. Stay tuned.
