Santa Barbara polo came out smoking in the winners round robin with Billy Steta firing on all cylinders and never let up as he cruised the goal all day long in this one he had a srtong back up with Tom Schuerman closing the back door and attacking when needed . The format of two International players and two locals was amazing Billy out of Mexico City was definitely ready and he showed it quick playing with Antonio Juarez, Tom and Christan bronc rider Toralado they blew by California Polo and in the next part took a rest and then it was California Polo”s a Rodney Fragodt putting the team and horses to make it happen versus Bella Vista the host and they made sure it was not host time as they blew by mr Nesbitt and company and then settled in field side chairs to see what would happen and a luck would have it. Santa Barbara and Bella Vista just could not get rolling to the goal and ended in a 1 goal tie for the final match . Putting Santa Barbara in the finals and a shootout to see who met them. So after a bit of delay it was back to the field as Empire Polo who had played earlier in the day and won there round robin were now in a shootout with Ca. Polo and then it was on. the shoot out was to be between all 4 players on ea. team and Ca. Polo won the flip to start. There big gun Domingo missed and then a miss by Empire then Chuck Stanislawski buried his and Carlo Zamora missed and then it was Ron Wanless making it sealing the finals bid by scoring the deciding goal and headed to the finals .
It should be a great finals you got the guns of SB led by Billy and the back door of Jef Graham they will get to know each other well i am sure . Billy will be running but Jef will be trying to set up a detour. Be at Santa barbara Polo at 1.30 and see the action in the finials it will be fun watch Chuck S going to goal and Ron Wanless trying to stop him be there i will.
