Rumor is they are hiring Corey back to run the bar (Cantina at the Eldorado Polo Club). Thats a + 7. The Tackroom Tavern, the bar at Empire PC located next door to Eldorado, threw the pretty Ladies out. Last year they has some nice waitresses and a great bar staff. This year, the ladies are gone and so are the efficient bartenders. That may be a menu to improve the Cantina’s crowd next door? It the Tavern is not pulling them in then maybe they will go to the Cantina instead? Just having Ms. Corey back at the Cantina will pull in the guys. The ladies will come in to make sure males are not looking too much (:
The Cantina’s crowd has dropped off during the past few seasons. Not too many years ago you would walk into the Cantina to find a wall-to-wall crowd. I’m sad to say this is not the case anymore. I think some change is needed for the Cantina to make a comeback. What do you all think??? Post it on the message board and lets talk about it.
Alex Hagen of Empire PC has worked hard to make the Tavern a place to be. He is working with the Cantina now to send them customers. Elmer Fudd and the Nurse who ever the assistant is to decide to throw the pretty Lady out of the Tavern is like well 80 to 20 in 15 seconds. That was the customer count before and after. It was quite a fiasco and I got there 2 hours later. Apparently some one took off their boots and a Lady said they stunk and threw them across the bar. It was like that was a crime so lets get the FBI, Indio Police and the CHP. This is dangerous so they needed to get backup. A flying boot is really not a terrorist item.
In polo I know little as of yet, but the fields are getting bad reviews as being the worst they have ever been. They were bad in their 50th year (last season) now players are saying the fileds are worse. I find that hard to believe as in their 50th anniversary they were as bad as you can get. How can that be? Worse? I am not sure as I haven’t been out there much this season, but 10 of 10 people said the fields are worse, so that must be bad. Its a shame you spend 50 years to get better and improve polo. So why spend the next 50 to get worse as they say?
Polo has changed. People want quality players, horses and fields. The cheap players do not care because they are participating in a Kings sport on a very low budget, but they get what they pay for and the others do not. Polo is a King’s sport, not intended to be a sport designed for a low budget. POLO IS NOT A LOW BUDGET SPORT AND IT NEVER WILL BE. SO WHY RUIN IT FOR A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PROVE ANYONE CAN PLAY! They cannot make it happening with out ruining it! And they will trust ME.
On the field I heard Trotz was injured today in the 12-goal and that he and Hugo Barabucci, also a 6-goal player, had a crash. I always say good polo is safer as the high-goalers look out for the lower-goal players, but the others are on their own. I am in the desert now, so I will try to come up with some results from the leagues and the polo of today even though there are 27 teams, 17 are beginners to polo I hear. See ya at?
