If you or your significant other have been on the fence about whether to purchase a home in the Coachella Valley or even spend the winter here, perhaps this will change your mind! If your husband or wife spends all day at the polo field or on the golf course and you are looking for things to do, you will not be disappointed. The Coachella Valley is a family friendly place to live and visit.

There is great hiking amongst Mexican fan palm groves, water holes and more at: Coachella Valley Preserve, Indian Canyons, Painted Canyon, Box Canyon and numerous other trails in the area.

There is an organized trail riding association that rides at many local and exotic locations! Great social thing too!

Balloon rides, a water park, desert jeep tours, rent trail horses and ride up Indian Canyon if you prefer not to hike, miniature golf, ice skating, IMAX theatre, take a yoga class, trap shooting, gambling, world class tennis, one of the largest music festivals in the world and much more.

There are many choices when it comes to restaurants from casual to fine dining. Same goes for entertainment. You can see a live play, go to a world renowned film festival or watch many of the bands, singers or other live acts that perform at our many local casinos.

If relaxing is more your thing…you can just lounge by the pool or indulge in services at many of the top rated spas in the area. Enjoy a stroll thru one of the farmers market or shop until you drop at El Paseo, the mall in Palm Desert, Old Town La Quinta, Cabazon Outlets or any of the other small boutique stores in the area.

If none of the above sounds appealing then take a little afternoon adventure to: The Salton Sea, take a ride up to Landers and the Integretron to enjoy a crystal sound bath, Salvation Mountain for something off the wall, Idyllwild for an Alpine style afternoon,Pioneer Town to step back in time or go antiquing in Yucca Valley.

Our area is also surrounded by National Parks. You could take the family out to Anza Borrego National park and see the Ocotillos blooming or hike to a water fall. Go rock climbing in Joshua Tree, drive up and go skiing for the day in Big Bear and so much more. I am sure I missed loads to do. Please let me know what you have found fun in our Valley.

I do not work for the chamber of commerce but would like to see you a home! With all that there is to do why not own in the Coachella Valley! If you live in the Western US this is the only place your should be playing polo! Lets all have an exciting and fun filled winter!  Lets get those ponies ready to run!
