It is a Desert Time. It was a very busy day at EDPC as it started early and it just gets worse or busier. Pretty lady Jenny and her Cotterel Farms tuned up the Palomino (Jason Crowder) and Maui/McPolo to get off to a big win. It was Kentfield stopping PoloBARN.com (aka PoloZONE) for another day. Fish Creek got a win finally in their run vs. Mike Uretz and his world Gym crew. On the 16-goal horizion it was Silent Chris Maloney and Tri tech staying quiet as they went down to Bones (Ron Bonaguidi) and the big boys from Hanalei Bay to go to 1 and 0. In another game it was Long Beach just falling to Dandy Dan Horn and the bullets of Broadway as Dan, not Henry Walker, stays undefeated for the winter. Also at 2 PM it was Mr. Smooth (Curt Hughes) keeping a perfect record in this one as Friendly Chevy goes to about 7 and 0 versus Storm Cat, who is dropping down in class and going farther south on their way. It was Ms. Jenny Luttrell going to 2 and 0 as Cotterel II (4-goal/4 Chukker) won as well. They drilled Melody Oaks and their singing trees. It was a very nice day for polo and it all looks well, but the fields may turn bad as the winter weather is showing real quick. Saturday is a dandy for the thrill-seeker as it goes like this . . .
Double Eagle gets to meet Mr. Clark (Cam Clark Ford) and they know he needs to be ready. and he may be. Also at 10 AM its a pair of seniors as Gechache and Mr. Holden doing 80 at about 80 versus the Gray Ghost Mr. Demsey Mork. At High Noon Dudley White sends the Galindo force back out and they take on newcomers from Houston, Shanghi. Long Beach gets in game 2 in 2 days and deals with the Governor (Pat Nesbitt) in his first one for ’07. Mr. Smooth (Curt Hughes) takes on Zippy (Bill Ziering) as Friendly Chevy does Rancho Santa Fe. The Mexican Secretary of Defense and a Mr. Pope add Andy Maze in the mix to lead Aspen Oaks vs. Miss Jenny (Cotterel Farms I). Also at the same time its The Hawks geting it on vs. Maui/Mcpolo and Bud Dardi (aka the husband of Butter Cup). Also at 2 PM its Parklane vs. Ore /Pac. Amistad/True Choice will take on the Physical Studs of World Gym and close the day its Cotterel Farms and Storm Cats doing it. So there will be lots of polo and it is going to be a perfect day for it they say.
On the World front it is nice to hear after such a dreadful oil crunch Exxon reports the biggest corporate profit ever, 39 billion. Amazing what a war can do. We spend more than that to make peace. One oil company and there are several making a profit like this, but hey its buisness as usual. We are just buying gas from some gouger from Texas. By the way who do we know from there? Maybe like #1 and 2 on the main names. So nice to be in a free country sometimes, but we do still have polo. See ya.
