Invest In The Future of Polo! This is an opportunity to be a part of the Team USPA program and all it has to offer to up-and-coming American players! Team USPA applications for 2014 will be accepted August 1 – September 1, 2013. For application and instructions, email teamuspa@uspolo.org. The minimum handicap required for male applicants is 1 goal (arena or outdoors), and for female applicants, the minimum handicap required is 0 goals (arena or outdoors). We are looking to add eight new members to the program in 2014 so don’t miss out on the opportunity! The mission of the Team USPA Committee is to enhance and grow the sport of polo in the United States by identifying young, talented American players and providing mentored training and playing opportunities leading to a pool of higher rated amateur and professional players and the resultant giveback to the sport of polo. Team USPA members are provided with advanced training opportunities with the top players in the world. With seasonal Team USPA training in Aiken, SC, Sheridan, WY, Wellington, FL, and Houston, TX, Team USPA members are able to learn from the best players and polo professionals the sport has to offer. Training is not limited to the field either! The Team USPA program teaches our members about horsemanship, managing finances, communication skills, leadership, equine nutrition, umpiring and how to give back to the clubs they play at and share their knowledge with other players.
