Indio, CA (December 15, 2007) – With a 4 – 3  overtime victory over Hidden Creek, Rancho Amistad went to 2 – 0 in the B bracket of the 2007 World Gym 4 goal tournament at the Eldorado Polo Club. Tied at one going into the final chukker and trailing early in that frame by two, goals by Ted Oakie and Sean Keyes pulled the water people even and forced the extra period. The work, however, was for naught as Andy Maze nailed the winner and in doing so gave Joe Anthony and company the win and a perfect record. Along with the winner, Maze had another to make a pair and Mark Register and Ashton Wolfe had one each.

To add to the above mentioned fourth chukker goals, Keyes had one in the third for the losers.

The second B bracket game of the day saw Los Caballos destroy La Mancha by a count of 9 – 2. This one was close at the start and that was it. Victor Soto showed once again that he is a bargain at two goals by scoring five times . Remy Muller added three along with one from Craig Steinke.

Pierre Henri Gnoumou scored twice for La Mancha.

The A bracket featured two Saturday games.

In the first, World Gym defeated Deepwater Grill 8 – 7. Bob Puetz scored four times for the winners with two from Wylie Uritz and singles from Patrick Uritz and Alvaro Tadeo. A five goal second chukker with no replies won it for the weight lifters.

Manny Rodriguez put four through in the losing effort with help from George Gilstrap  and Dylan Foster with one each for Deepwater. An award of one at the start completed the scoring.

The second B bracket game had Lovely Polo defeat Vista Santa Rosa by two at 5 – 3. Jared Sheldon and Juan Jose Gonzalez scored twice for the winners with a single from Joseph Stuart.

Caroline Anier had all three for Vista Santa Rosa.

Sunday will see two games –  one in each bracket. Hidden Creek will face Los Caballos in the B and the A will see World Gym take on Lovely Polo.

Standings will be posted Sunday evening.
