Indio, CA. (December 8, 2007) – By virtue of an 8 – 7 victory over Magellan, World Gym will play in tomorrow’s Go – Honey final against Jackson Hole Horse Emporium.
By all accounts, the fitness people are fortunate to be there. Leading by four after the third by a 7 – 3 count, the weight lifters almost succumbed to a fourth chukker four goal outburst by Magellan’s Alvaro Tadeo, substituting for Shamim Sheik. In fact, Tadeo tied the score and overtime seemed possible until Pierre Henri was able to provide the winner with little time left.
For the winners, Henri had 6 markers with help from a Tony Uritz open goal counter and one from the field by Angel Romero.
Magellan replies came from Tadeo with five (2 fouls) and one each from Lolo Payan and Tony Yahyhe (substituting for Benito Andrade).
In an earlier game, Jackson Hole and Stormcat tied at two each. In that the game meant little, overtime was not played.
The final of the 2007 Go – Honey, played at Ranch Polo, goes Sunday afternoon – Jackson Hole vs. World Gym.
