Cost-effective websites for polo clubs

Over the past few weeks I’ve received a lot of requests for quotes to redesign or create new websites for small businesses, including a couple of polo clubs. What many clubs may not know, is that the cost to build a professional looking website has dropped significantly over the past year.
The reason costs have dropped is that developers are building websites in content management systems (CMS’s) such as WordPress and Joomla. These systems significantly shorten the design cycle, allowing developers to build new sites within days vs. weeks.
CMS websites are designed using templates (there are thousands to choose from), that are then customized to include your company’s logo and corporate colors, and to match your business’s image. Another benefit of a website designed in a CMS is that there is an admin dashboard and tools that allow for content to be updated by a company’s own staff. This makes a website easier to keep up-to-date and less expensive to maintain.
All CMS systems store your website content in a format that can be syndicated in an RSS feed. What does this mean? It means that your news can be automatically linked to feed into your facebook page, twitter profile or any other social networking site that works with RSS feeds.
