It’s getting to be that time of the year again.  The International Polo club season is in full swing with 20-goal competition and 10-goalers galore and the organizers of the St. Moritz World Cup on Snow are getting ready to celebrate their 30th edition of the Swiss classic, and Ebe Sievwright is just the man to tell you about it.

Ebe Sievwright has been riding since he was 6, playing polo since he was 14. As a professional player he has played in 22-goal competition for the Black Bears and Azzura polo teams, winning the Swiss Open with Javier and Eduardo Novillo Astrada, and playing in Queens Cup 22-goal matches with Marcos Heguy and Nacho Novillo-Astrada. He is a professional polo commentator with the Deauville High Goal Gold Cup, Belgian and Dutch Opens as well as at Sotogrande in Spain.  Most recently heard at the Piaget Aspen World Snow Polo tournament, Ebe has been head of the communications team for 13 years at the Cartier Polo on Snow in St. Moritz. He plays, teaches and commentates for polo all over the world and now teaches full-time at the California Polo Club.

Four teams will be competing again this year with the return of Nacho Figueras leading the Ralph Lauren entry (Michael Bickford, Jamie Morrison, Nacho Figueras and Ruki Baillieu).

John Munro Ford will be returning with his championship Cartier team (Jonathan Munro Ford, Max Charlton, Chris Hyde and Hissam Ali Hyder).

Deutsch Bank (Karan Thapar, Ryan Pemble, Oliver Hipwood and Glen Gilmore) and BMW (Richard Davis, Johnny Good, Tarquin Southwell and John-Paul Clarkin) round out the field.
