It never looked like this would be the case, but somehow, someway there is only one to go for a Triple Crown sweep for the mighty Ellerstina.  Three weeks ago I would have and did say there was no way they could do it, but neither here nor there, its not a question as they are doing it. The final leg of the Argentine Triple Crown starts  this week as the 114th Argentina “Palermo” Open begins. Ellerstina obviously is the only team with a chance of sweeping them anyway. Ellerstina is easily the nicest Polo Club you can find on this planet and they have the Master of the Open Tournaments Gonzalo Pieres at the helm. Just to keep the ship forward they brought in Memo Gracida to coach these 20-year old 10-goalers and so far the ship is dead on.  Can defending champ Adolfo Cambiaso right his ship? We’ll see as he was aparently injured in about the 2nd chukkar and did sit out 3 or 4 chukkers before resuming play, although still bothered by a leg injury? He will be back as he has done before and it will take his magic to stop this one from being a sweep.  It must have been a little wet as the Gold Cup games nearby were cancelled due to rain and wet fields, but the big one went on.

The Turnberry Towere Ladies Tournament – Down in Houston the women are strutting their stuff and it is a dandy as they continue the tour of Ladies Polo Tour which seems to be everywhere. San Diego had their Ladies Gladiator Tournament was a month ago, then Aiken, SC,  now Houston, and then off to Costa Careyes, Mexico.  Then I think Buenos Aires,  then Eldorado, and Hong Kong is also on their map.

In Houston it’s Pegasus with Lesli  Fong Lee and Kate Webber teamed up with Anne Andres and Shelia Lequeria who took their semi-final  and they take on Tiffany & Co with hard-riding Rebecca Bollonbach, Karen Reese and Jollie Liston in the finals Sunday afternoon. It should be a good one and if you missed this stop then you can head to beautiful Careyes. It is located between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo, Mexico. It is such an amazing place. Get ready for the winter season we got the players so give us a call.

See ya.
