It does not look possible for the 10 goal to be in Jan. as everyone wants to be armed to the hilt for the big money tournament in March, there is good reason for this 90 days on horses maybe a little to much to say the least. They can get ready in Feb. with their team and be ready for the big show.

I want people to get the experience of playing better Polo on great fields and with big crowds. This idea was put into place this past Summer in Calgary and had excellent reviews. We are going to modify it a bit to make it available for more people, but generally we are looking to implement the same idea. More people can try better polo and do it with less cost than hiring a team for a month league and Pros can have work for a month as well.
I see two possibilities let me know your opinion:
I think it would work best if we do it for 2 weeks. Ir people do not like it they can get out and they also can come for last two or first two it will make it easier to fit the Patron’s Jan. schedule.
A: All interested Patrons put in so much money or a pro of 3 goals or more. The club will secure the services of the balance of the pros needed. We will still try to reach 10-goals as often as possible.
B. All interested Patrons secure service of a pro of 3 goals or more and will play with that pro and split team with another combo much like a pro pool but with switch.
In Calgary, the way I understand it, they had two Patrons for the month and hired 6 pros and just before the game they drew teams or three pros for ea. team making it fun and very competitive due to unknown but teams were always within 2-goals of each other. The winners of each game got 1 point for a win 0 for a loss and -1 for a red flag and at the end of the fourth game in this instance would. The winners would be determined by points. There would also be a prize for highest points by a Pro and Patron. You will also have the chance to play an organized 10-goal practice on Wed. every week you are involved.
I have little doubt that Empire is the future of Winter Polo in the Desert and it may well be the biggest club in America soon. It is a fact. Who will support Polo? There are very few who can … John Goodman in FL and Alex Haagen in CA. Not many people will do what these Men do and that is a fact.
