Fredrick was his name at 6 yrs. old and he was already a Mannix tough as a Canadian Logger and had no doubt he could do it . I have known the Mannix Family since about 1980 maybe a little earlier but well before Fred 2 existed and they have been one of the main reasons Polo exist on the West coast of North America Fred Sr was Calgary for many years and the biggest supporter in California Desert for 2 decades. He made Pee Wee Polo exist and it turned to Jr Polo and now it is Wold Polo not World Polo but the best in the World a typical Mannix move lets go where they play the best and they did and now FM2 is where no North American has ever been as far as I know in the Finals of the 120 th Argentine Open I maybe wrong as the Gracida’s have played in several but not sure if Mexico is considered North America so if it is first US Or North. It has been quite a decade for Canada Lyndon Lea a Canadian – English mix has done what no Amateur has ever done best I know won to US Opens and 2 British Opens. Now Fred goes to the finals of the Argentine Open .
For a long time I have wrote about Fred’s speed but even though he is easily the fastest man on the North American side since Hector Gallindo he is not as fast as his teammate Hilario Uloah who s a BULLIT and yes I spelled it wrong but it is faster than a bullet.They have not won the Open but if Nero cannot play they are not that far away from a huge surprise . I think Cambiaso as in Adolpho has been the best thing for Polo in the last 15 years but I would love to see FM win . It will be a big one and there is only Lucas who I think has won or been in finals .
