Victory by Grant’s Farm Manor/Windsor Capital  over Hanalei Bay in 16 Goal at Eldorado on Friday likely gives them the title.

INDIO, CA (February 16, 2007) – A 13 – 9 win by Grant’s Farm/Windsor over Hanalei Bay in the first 16 goal game Friday in Indio has,  in all  probability, given the Andy Busch/Pat Nesbitt bunch the Roenisch Bronzes for the month of February. The loss puts Ron Bonaguidi’s team two games back, joined there later in the afternoon by Palm Desert.  In a tournament with no final, and a two game lead with three games remaining, Busch could probably play the Budweiser Clydsdales and still win it all.  Jason Crowder led the attack with six goals as Mariano Fassetta put up four (1 foul) and Busch converted three open goal freethrows.

In the second game of the day, Dan Horn’s Palm Desert foursome beat up on Tri Tech by a score of 14 – 7 and joined Hanalei Bay in second spot with a record of 3 -2.  The  defeat gives Chris Maloney and Co. a record of 1 – 4.

Play continues on Sunday with two games; Palm Desert will play Long Beach and Tri Tech takes on Hanalei Bay. Messieurs Horn and Bonaguidi desparately need victories in order to keep their very slim trophy hopes alive.
