And finally, results:

On Saturday, February 23, Sunlight Ranch defeated Honahlee by a score of 15-7. Sunlight Ranch was awarded a goal on handicap and started very strong in the opening chukkers exiting the second chukker with the impressive score of 6-1. Carlos Gracida used his teammates very effectively as each player contributed to the score with Carlitos Gracida scoring two goals from the field and one goal on a penalty three and Mariano Gracida scoring one goal from the field in the first half alone. Pelon and Kuko Escapite tried to even things up in the fourth chukker with two goals a piece, but the steady attack from Sunlight Ranch kept Honahlee at bay. Carlitos Gracida would go on to score three more goals in the second half, Mariano one goal, and Cachi Garcia one goal.

On Tuesday, February 25, Piocho Ranch took on Port Mayaca/Rosco in a very exciting game that ended in an overtime win for Piocho 10-9. Piocho was awarded one goal on handicap and opened the game with three quick goals over a flat-footed Port Mayaca/Rosco team. Gracida put pressure on the group early with his forwards Barrack and Torres-Zavaletta swarming the goal mouth. Brandon Phillips notched a late goal in the first chukker to end that period with a score of 4-1. The second chukker found both teams running end line to end line, but neither squad found the goal mouth save for one goal by Whistle Uys. Chukker three exhibited a more coordinated attack by Port Mayaca/Rosco with goals by Brandon Phillips and Robert Orthwein. Whistly Uys’ and Brandon Phillips’ take-the-man style and strong shots to forwards Jocelyne Groulx and Robert Orthwein kept Piocho from scoring in chukkers two and three. At the half, it was 4-4. In the fourth chukker Lucas Lalor added a goal for Piocho and Robert Orthwein converted a penalty three to bring the score to 5-5. In the fifth and sixth chukkers Julio Gracida and the Whistle Uys/Brandon Phillips combo began a duel with Julio scoring four goals and Phillips and Uys 2 goals each bringing the game 9-9 for the overtime showdown. With two minutes ten seconds on the clock, Lucas Lalor fired the golden goal through the uprights for the Piocho win.
