La Karina comes out on top after last weekends first and second rounds of the Vic Graber Memorial.  Santi Wulff was on fire Saturday and scored a total of 13 goals.  His team smoked Windsor Capital 17-11.  On Sunday La Karina took on Long Beach in a real bruiser of a match.  Thankfully, everyone, man and beast, was able to walk off the field and La Karina defeated Long Beach by one goal 8-7.  Unfortunately for Long Beach, this defeat means they will be out of the finals as they got beaten 9-5 by Piocho in Saturday’s first round game.  Windsor Capital shocked the crowd on Sunday by dominating the favored Piocho team.  Pat Nesbitt and the boys never looked back and played hard to win 12-10.  It was a long day of polo as there were quite a few whistles and more red flags than usual.

Sunday polo got another large turnout as everyone celebrated Father’s Day.  Brunch on the terrace was booked and the VIP tent was busy as well with many spectators participating in our Wine Tasting by Laraneta Winery.  Cigar Empire sold cigars during the matches which was a big hit with all of the dads.   The weather cooperated once again and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day.

With the 8-12 goal season almost over, everyone is speculating about what team will be the one to beat in the 20 goal.  Will it be Mansour, Audi, Grants Farm, Valiente, Patagones, Lucchese, ERG or Zacara?  What do you think?
