Argentine 10-goaler Miguel Novillo Astrada will be joining Marc Ganzi’s Audi team in the 2015 East Coast Open Championship.

With the start of the 2015 East Coast Open eight days away (August 23 to September 6th) Audi team captain Marc Ganzi announced a change to his lineup for the tournament. Taking the field for Audi for the East Coast Open this year will be Marc Ganzi, Nic Roldan and Juan Bollini, Jr.

“We’ve won before with this team, so we know it works,” offered American 8-goaler Roldan. “There a lot of tough teams,” he added, “but I know that we will be competitive.”

Astrada, currently rated at 9-goals in the United States and 10-goals in Argentina, and Roldan were teammates in the winter on Melissa Ganzi’s 26-goal FlexJet team in both the USPA Gold Cup and the United States Open Championship, and will be comfortable on the field together. The addition of 19-year-old Juan Bollini, Jr. is no big surprise. The son of former 8-goaler Juan Bollini is a proven commodity at the high-goal level, having played on the winning team in the 2015 Hall of Fame Cup, the subsidiary of the US Open, and a regular participant in the 20-goal tournaments at the Grand Champions Polo Club.

Marc Ganzi, Nic Roldan and Juan Bollini, Jr. have been competing at the Aspen Valley Polo Club for the last month while Miguel Novillo Astrada will be flying from Argentina to Connecticut to join the team.

There are currently six teams entered in the East Coast Open who will be competing at the Greenwich Polo Club in Connecticut. Those teams are:

White Birch Farm team (Santino Magrini, Hilario Ulloa, Mariano Aguerre and Peter Brant); Airstream (Peter Orthwein, Guille Aguero, Matias Magrini and Michel Dorignac); Audi (Marc Ganzi, TBA, Nic Roldan and Gonzalo Garcia del Rio), KIG (Bash Kazi, Valerio Zubiaurre, Salvador Ulloa and Andres Weiss); Turkish Airlines (Bruce Colley, Joaquin Panelo, Tomas Garcia del Rio and Stevie Orthwein) and McLaren Greenwich (Chris Brant, Nick Manifold, Joao Paulo Ganon and Tommy Biddle).

The order of play will be established following the official draw that will be hosted by Shreve, Crump & Low on August 19th in Greenwich, CT. The draw will determine the tournament brackets and match play schedule and officially kick-off the East Coast Open series of events.
