THE GAY POLO LEAGUE
PRESENTS THE 2ND ANNUAL U.S. GAY POLO TOURNAMENT

The Gay Polo League  (GPL) in partnership with the Empire Polo Club is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual U.S. Gay Polo Tournament will be held on Sunday, February 19th at the Empire Polo Club located in Indio, CA.  Spectator entrance at Monroe and 50th Avenue.

GPL members from California, Florida, New York, Canada, Argentina, and Sweden will descend on Indio to compete alongside professional polo players for the 2nd Annual U.S. Gay Polo Championship. The tournament will culminate on Sunday, and include the following scheduled matches:

  • 10:30 a.m. – Consolation Match
  • 12:00 p.m. – Tournament Finals

GPL is proud to announce the following pros will “quarterback” the GPL Teams playing in the 2nd US Gay Polo Tournament on February 19th at Empire Polo Club, Indio CA!

Alex Norheimer: Formally 5 goals and currently 3 goals!  Alex is originally from Argentina and will be joining the tournament from Los Angeles.

Erik Wright:  2 goals and founder of Wright Way Polo.

Federico Gerleco: GPL member and 3 goal professional.  Federico is flying in from Argentina specifically for this tournament.

Jorge Vasquez:  3 goal professional flying in from Lexington, Kentucky where he is the head pro at the Lexington Polo Club.

For only $20, spectators are guaranteed to be entertained and impressed by the level of polo skills displayed at the two matches during the Annual U.S. Gay Polo Tournament.

The GPL competed in front of a crowd of close to 1000 spectators at the 1st Annual U.S. Gay Polo Tournament in February of 2011 and are looking forward to an even greater attendance this year.  The GPL Polo Club organizes and competes in other tournaments across the country.  Following the 2nd Annual U.S. Gay Polo Tournament, the GPL will descend on Wellington, FL for the 3rd Annual International Gay Polo Tournament on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
