A 10:30 Friday morning contest between Audi and Heronwood will kick off the 2008 Palm Restaurant Invitational Cup at the Grand Champions Polo Club, the club’s third tournament of the season. The second game will feature GTP and Tonchala and will be played on the polo field at The Wanderers Golf Club in Wellington.
The 17-goal Audi team will field Melissa Ganzi, Juan Bollini, J. J. Celis and Justo Saavedra; the 17-goal Heronwood polo team will be Michael Smith Liss, Brandon Phillips, Hector Galindo and Brad Blake.
Marc Ganzi’s 16-goal GTP team will ride into action with Ganzi, John Gobin, Tommy Biddle and Leo Mandelbaum. Eduardo Barco will be making his debut into the Grand Champions fall season with a 16-goal Tonchala team of Barco, Ruben Gracida, Luis Escobar and Mauricio Devrient.
The winners will play in the tournament finals on Sunday at 3pm. The consolation match will be played at 10:30am. Both Sunday games have been scheduled to be played on the Grand Champions grounds.
