It was not the most exciting opening day of the SB Polo now 16 goal but it is underway, gone are the Cambiasos’s, Merlos’s,Roldan and Stirling but forward we go and in action today it was Klentner Ranch doing a tap dance on Luchesse and Farmers and Merchants 1 doing the same to F&M 2 so they both head to the finals of the El Encanto which is the first of the high goal in SB. The El Encanto is a high end Hotel in SB and was formerly owned and ran by a man named Eric Friden who was also a Polo Player and a very good Patron who lost his life playing the game he so loved right here in SB. Most of today’s participants do not remember him or ever knew him but he was a very good Patron and supported SB Polo as much as anyone ever did. Him and his Lovely wife Kerin did so much to make Polo a destination for Summer Polo it was amazing and it was before we became just a so so place to be . This was a sad ending but we know people like Mr Holden the Walkers especially Ken , Eric and people like Ken Berry worked tirelessly to make it a center of Summer Polo and it should not have been so hard to do with the best Summer weather in the World and good fields and an amazing setting. England and I love the Polo there has 13 teams and play 30 % of there games in the rain Soto Grande in weather above 90 degrees all at 20 to 22 goals. We need a leader and may have one as MR David Sigman has stepped in and has a Hospitality Background and that is what we need Hospitality ! When people spend the money to be here make it fun and a pleasure to be here. WE Have the Chance and as they say JUST DO IT !
We need Fun,shade,announcers,entertainment and a SMILE from ever employ here and all of these can be done in a week . SO LETS DO IT this is the Gold Coast . WHY Not ?
