Hobe Sound Polo Club Junior Invitational
West Palm Beach, FL-
Kids who love to play polo will have the opportunity to play on some
of the finest fields the morning of Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Hobe
Sound Polo Club.
Vincent Mesker, the polo director for the private club where polo
superstar Aldolfo Cambiaso and his fellow Argentine player, Andres Weisz
have a beautiful state-of-the-art barn, has issued an invitation to young
polo players to play in the clubs first Hobe Sound Polo Club Junior
Invitational.
“This is an opportunity for these children to actually play in a
tournament on a world-class practice field,” said Mesker. “The matches will
be four chukkers long and there are two to three teams playing in this
initial tournament,” added Mesker. The matches are scheduled to begin at 10
a.m.
The number of matches played on Saturday will depend on the number
of teams, with head to head and round robin matches possible.
“We’ve had such great practices with the American team warming up
for the Westchester Club and with the Mexican team practicing for the
Camacho Cup, and they’ve all said how great the fields are,” he said. “We
thought it would be fun for the young players to play on our Celebration
Bermuda grass fields, and experience the same type of facilities that the
high goal players have been using.”
Hobe Sound Polo Club is located about 2 miles east of I-95 at the
Hobe Sound exit on Bridge Road. The main entrance is located on the north
side with an additional trailer entrance just to the east. For additional
