Actually that’s the Chargers defense, but it happened in polo today. There were some lights out productions as well. It was either good defense or awesome offense as the Cellar Dwellers found out CNS is a step or two up the ladder from Princeps. Their backdoor was open often as there were 18 goals scored in this game and most of them by CNS, so they are not dead yet. CNS is 1 and 1.
In a wild affair on field 5 behind the hill things must have gotten out of control as Cotterell Farms was skinning Marcus + Milichap (M+M) by 3 with 3 minutes to go. There was a problem and a pro was removed from the game and M+M recovered with 4 on 3. Billy Boy Hoyman led the charge and tied it up and Marcus + Milichap won it in overtime. In the high-noon game it was the Ladies in pink doing battle. The Surfer (Diego Cossio) is showing he is just Pinky as he ousted the Pink Lady in Blue and beat Princeps (1) and put them in a bad place for the final 4, but not out of it.
Wild Bill Freeman and Corleone proved Hidden Creek is not always hard to cross as Princeps found it on Sat. because the Godfather got his rest last night and the Hit was on. Corleone scored 5 or 6 unanswered goals before Hidden Creek came out of hiding in the 3rd and were put to the boards as Jofie (Joseph Stuart) led Corleone including MVP Patrick “80 pound” Uretz in a very good position to head to the final 4. There is a ways to go.
In the 1:30 game it was the Pope as in Wisconsin’s own Ed Pope leading the charge in a big win over Adeptus/Casa Blanca. That is 2 very close games for Adeptus/CB as they barely lost to Corleone on Saturday and Dandy Andy Maze (of Aspen Oaks) came flying down the field with seconds to go and won it all with a big run as the clock said “no mas tempo.”
In the 3 p.m. it was Jofie getting another double as Tritech’s Easy Rider won the Toilet Bowl or maybe it was the Rancho Santa Fe Cup (I heard both today). It was a very nice win either way and an awesome day for polo with the temperature about 70 degrees, a light breeze and a clear sky. There was nothing but party time unless you were like me, driving up the coast to Santa Barbara, which sucked but was good for my diet as I had no grapes today. I am out to lunch on other reports. No news from Santa Barbara and I do not know if Rooney stole the ball from Cambiaso in the Gold Cup. I do not even know who plays the Pieres Family in the finals in Argentina. I did not get to see the Pacific Coast Open on TV. Its on ESPN 2 Tuesday as well I hear so see it if you can and hey get off your butts and buy some horses and play POLO. See ya.
