It is the Pope Challenge in Santa Barbara but it could have been a game at Cowdray Park for the Queens Cup it was cold rainy and a very non Southern California sort of day in SB but it was the first round of the Pope Challenge and it was not cold for all four teams for two it was hot and two it was not in game 1 moved from Piocho to SBPolo because of rain it was Antelope/Long Beach taking out there driving time on Klentner/Piocho as they rode away with a big run from 4 to 6th chukkar and it was a brilliant day for young Manuel Garcia filling in for Mr. Palmer this kid is dyna–mite in a small package he will not be 0 for long he works for Danny Walker and he does never have to ride bad horses broncy maybe but real players . In game 2 it was the return of the double J’s and Josey and Jason with a power back Nickali Galindo talk about speed ask zeda he is still looking for them and add the govenor and its 4 on the floor and petal to the metal and adios Chadmare/Nicoma and they are at + 1 asap the two winners meet on sunday so it should be fun and hope the weather is back in town we need some Global Warming here asap because we have Global COOLING right now. Down south its the pro pool for another week as they tune up for the big time and there seems to be lots of action where the Surf meets the turf so if its close by stop in and join the party there is always one @ SDPC so be there .
Around the world not here across the pond in Jolly ole England it was Zacara losing and it was Zacara star Ruki Bailu from here winning as he played a major role in a big upset over there , its kind of odd but in the most expensive polo in the World there are 20 teams and here we are begging for teams I know the euro is strong but really where is the $ besides Cheney’s pocket.
see you at Polo
