Buena Vista (12) vs Burnt Mills (8)
Both Mashomack Club Manager and Team Buena Vista appeared to arrive late at yesterday’s game. The only difference, is Buena Vista finally showed up in chukkers 5 & 6, I never did, courtesy of Delta Airlines. While I was stuck in Atlanta, touring around terminal C, Burnt Mills left a storm in New Jersey and made one of their own in Amenia by dominating play for 3 of the first four chukkers of play by taking chukkers 1,2, and 4. That left them with a one goal lead at the end of four.
Burnt Mills strength was a combined effort of scoring by all four players. Ernie Ezcurra had 3, and Christopher Landon, Billy Paterniti, and Nicolas Milan all added one apiece.
Apparently, Buena Vista’s Tatin Zubiaurre was taking a close look at one of the gag bridles of his opponents in chukker one, as he suffered a fairly good blow to the back of his shoulder blade. The effects of that blow seem to lessen or maybe the effects of the motrin kicked in right around chukker 5, as Tatin scored 4 of his game high 7 goals in chukkers 5 & 6. Don Langlois’s team outscored Burnt Mills 6-1 in the last two to take thye match 12-8. Don Langlois and Sam ramirez each scored twice for Buena Vista and Tatin’s brother Ezequiel added one.
The Michael Levin’s Ten Mile Field took nearly two inches of rain the day prior, but the players were very complimentary on how well the field play.

Action this Weekend
BIG GAME ALERT-Undefeated Tupungato vs Undefeated Stone Rows Farm
Where? Chuck Elme’s Blue Sky Polo Club
When? Friday, 7/21 at 1pm
Why? This game is a key game in Bracket I for three of the four teams
If Rinaldini’s Tupungato squad wins, Long Island is sitting pretty solid for one of the two championship berths, but they still face Paterniti’s Burnt Mills next wed. If Kim Foley’s Stone Rows Farm wins, then Don Langlois’s Buena Vista has new life, as Buena Vista lost to Tupungatp this past Sunday in overtime, but still have to play Stone Rows Farm this Sunday morning at Ten Mile. Are you with me??
Tupungato wins, they are the only remaining undefeated team in Bracket I. But…If Stone Rows Farm wins, they are undefeated, but Buena Vista gets a shot at Stone Rows Farm on Sunday…and if Buena Vista were to win…we could have a three way battle for first place in Bracket I. Now dont forget, that Folley’s Stone Rows Farm has that seven goaler guy, Gulli Aguero, along with the Fairclough Father/son duo.
Also on Friday, July 21, 5:30 pm, back at Mashomack…
Polo Do/Supersize(combined effort of Matias Bullrich & Bruce Colley) faces undefeated John Klopp’s Smithfield Farm. This is a must win game for Polo Do/Supersize as they were defeated by Longfield this past Sunday. But don’t expect Smithfield’s Julio Ezcurra and Fancisco Bilbao to have any interest in accommodating the needs of Polo Do/Supersize as a Smithfield win sets up the final battle between guess who??…for Bracket number two. Longfield farm vs Smithfield Farm on Sunday.
BIG Game Alert-Stone Rows Farm vs Buena Vista
When Sunday
Where Ten Mile River Farm
Time 11am
If Stone Rows Farm were to defeat Tupungato(who has zero interest in being defeated) on Friday, this will be Buena Vista’s last chance for securing a championship berth, if they were able to defeat Stone Rows Farm. Now if Buena Vista has that opportunity, that means they will be facing an undefeated Stone Rows Farm. Do you think Stone Rows Farm have interest in helping out Buena Vista. btw…Have you ever seen Guilli bump other players in practice?? Dont miss this one !!!!
Sunday, 2pm at Mashomack, Bulltick Polo rides in for their last competition against Polo Do/Supersize
REALLY BIG Game Alert
Who Smithfield Farm vs Longfield Farm
Where Mashomack
When Sunday at 4:30pm
This game is potentially the decider for Bracket number two. If Smithfield defeats Polo Do/Supersize on friday, this game will be two undefeated teams….and the winner goes to the Championship Finals of the 2006 USPA Eddie Moore. Now you have heard about these two teams in various championship finals….well…not this time. Ony one of them gets a shot at the championship round, so dont miss what is always a bloody battle when these two “friends” (Buchan & Klopp) meet up against each other. Now in real life…they actually are friends…this trying to kill each other stuff on the field of play…thats just all play acting…you know like world wrestling…..NOT. These two may like each other, but something happens when they cross those chalk end lines and take the field. So come and see the transformation of these two “friends” on Sunday.
