Sunday Results:

Bulltick Polo (12) vs Polo Do/Supersize (8)

Sunday’s Polo……….Im not sure how…after 2.25 inches of rain and continuous thunder, lightning, and down pours, but somehow we emerged out of the darkness and into a picture perfect, sunny afternoon at the Mashomack Polo Club..watching Bulltick Polo and Polo Do/Supersize go at it for six periods of polo.

Bulltick started quick with 4 unanswered goals in chukker one.
Then Maestro Dorginac pulled his squad together and orchestrated six goals to Bulltick’s three in chukkers 2,3,and 4.

Then momentum evened out in chukker 5 as both teams tallied twice. Chukker six was all Bulltick as they scored three unanswered goals. One of those was the Diet-Mountain Dew Play of the Day when Mr. Bulltick, Javier Guerra slapped a beautiful cut shot from about 90 yards out right thru the uprights. Great fricking shot.

Honorable mention also to our own Matias Bullrich…How does he look so comfortable in 12 goal polo already?? Well…it may have something to do with some pretty incredible guidance. Both Martin Garrahan and Michel Dorignac(those are two of the biggest names in Argentine polo history.

We were originally supposed to play three games today, but we were lucky to get in the one. The other two after much ado, are scheduled for Monday.

Monday Action….Monday??? Thats my day off I think??

BIG Game Alert for MONDAY
1pm at Ten Mile River Farm Don Langlois and Sam Ramirez’s Buna Vista take on Kim Foley’s Stone Rows Farm. This is a crucial game in Bracket I. If Stone Rows Farm, led by seven goaler Guilli Aguero, wins, they advance to finals. If Buena Vista wind by two or more, they will most likely go. If they win by one, we have the potential for a three-way tie in records, if…Tupungato defeats Burnt Mills on Wed at Blue Sky.

BIG Game Alert also for MONDAY
5:30pm at Mashomack John Klopp’s Smithfield farm vs Duke Buchan’s Longfield Farm

Winner of this game goes to finals of Bracket II. Need I say more?

Well…this was a day that had more twists, turns, detours, and road bumps then most of the rest of the summer combined. Im not feeling very funny at this moment….all I can say is that we have arrived at that place where teams are now pretty much suffering a loss of gravity, as their complete focus has shifted from normal pleasantries and light heartedness…to complete focus and determination. In simpler words…the boys have their game faces on.

We are coming down to the final cut for who gets to go for the bronzes this weekend.

Good luck to all.

Sunday Club Match
btw….We did have a wonderful Club Match at 11:30am. Woody Keesee sponsored both teams to insure a victory. Im not sure if his employee, Amy Wisehart is supposed to be hooking her employer as part of her contract, but Woody will have Chris Green review the paperwork tomorrow and dock Amy’s pay accordingly. Don Langlois was proudly showing off his two very talented boys, Maxi and Alex(Alex was freshly back from his camping adventures). The Langlois clan and Woody handled the likes of Fuad Malik, David Merena, Chris Green, andAmy Wisehart.
