The Hacker Cup Tournament

Despite threatening weather all day, the skies brightened over Saratoga Polo and the sun lit up the historic Whitney Field just in time for tonight’s 5:30 match, The Hacker Craft Cup, featuring Team Shamrock and Sugar Maple Farms.
Shamrock prevailed 10-5 in an action-packed match before an enthusiastic crowd of tailgaters and clubhouse guests.
Max Segunda started the first chukker off with a nice goal on a penalty 3, then went on to score 7 of Shamrock’s 10 goals. Botista Prado scored a beautiful goal on a breakaway for Sugar Maple early on in the 2nd chukker, and scored a second goal just minutes later. Other goals were by Julian Auglas, with three goals for Sugar Maple; and Matt Fonsenca, contributing one goal in the 2nd chukker for Shamrock.
