Calgary, Alberta (July 29, 2007) – It was expected that Millarville would defeat  Avery Silverstein’s Armageddon in game two of the North American Cup in Calgary. What was not expected was that it would be close. Tied at four after four (a surprise), and after a large fifth chukkar with four goals,  Fred H. Mannix and crew held a four point lead at 8 – 4 and very quickly added another  marker in the sixth to lead by five. As anticipated,  the Mannix boys  then backed off and it nearly cost them.  Tommy Biddle  took full advantage and exploded for three counters from the field and Kyle Fargy (replacing injured alternate Cali Garci-Velez) nailed another forcing a throw-in at center with 30 seconds and change on the clock. However, the run to overtime ended as time ran out and Millarville left with a lucky win.

For the winners, Fred H. Mannix scored six goals (1 foul), Julian Mannix had two (1 foul), and Daniel Roenisch added one.

For Armageddon, Tommy Biddle contributed five (1 foul), Kyle Fargy had a pair, and Nacho Lezica supplied one.

Game three in the North American is Tuesday with Millarville facing Tusk Energy in what amounts to nothing more than a practice. The final between the just mentioned foursomes will go on Thursday evening.
