Calgary, Alberta (July 3, 2007) – By virtue of a one man show, Fred H. Mannix served notice on Tuesday evening that he wants to start the Calgary 12 goal season with a bang. Mannix was relentless in a Fish Creek victory over Ivanhoe, by a score of 13 – 5,  in the opening game of the J Vair Anderson Cup.  With younger brother Julian counting three markers and long time playing companion Daniel Roenisch with two, Mannix scored eight (4 foul) – a number that doesn’t come close to describing his dominance. He was simply unstoppable.

All  Ivanhoe goals with one exception came from penalty conversions by Tommy Biddle, who also got one from the field.

Tournament play continues Wednesday evening with Palmer Ranch facing Cymric Glen.

Fish Creek – Fred H. Mannix 7, Julian Mannix, Daniel Roenisch 5, Julie Roenisch.

Ivanhoe – Bryan Thomas 1, Scott Hunt, Tommy Biddle 7, Nacho Lezica 4.
