Calgary, Alberta (July 6, 2007) – By defeating Bryan Thomas and Ivanhoe by a score of 7 – 6 in game four of the J Vair Anderson Cup, Dyan Leyshon-Pettigrew’s Cymric Glen retained a slim hope of reaching the final game and a chance to play for the coveted Tissot watches.

Trailing 4 -2 at the half and 6 -2 after four, Jeff Hall scored three times in the fifth and Mike Kerley and Matthew Schwartz added one each in the sixth to give the victory to the team with the feline connection. Overall, Hall had four goals (one foul), Schwartz two, and Kerley one.

Ivanhoe split their sixth goals evenly at two each for Tommy Biddle, Nacho Lezica, and Scott Hunt.

Sunday’s game five will see Cymric Glen face-off against Tusk Energy. A victory for Leyshon-Pattigrew and Co. would see their record go to 2 – 1 and force Tusk to 1- 1 with no games left in the 3 and 2 bracket set-up. Tusk, on the otherhand could go to 2 – 0 and play in Thursday’s final.

Tuesday will see Millarville (1 – 1) play Palmer Ranch (1 – 0). A win for Scott Palmer would see he and his ranch hands go for the timers at 2- 0 while Millarville would advance with a win as they would be at 2 – 1 with a .667 percentage.
