The Oak Brook Polo Club will kick off its 84th season at the historic Oak Brook Polo Grounds on Sunday, July 2nd. Bring the entire family to experience an action-packed afternoon of the exciting sport of polo, presented by the Village of Oak Brook. A sizzling grill is fired up all afternoon, and a full bar with your favorite beverages is available in the tent. Dress is casual and everyone is welcome.
At 1 p.m., the finals of the Pinecroft Cup will be played, followed by a match in the USPA Cecil Smith Cup at 3 p.m. Both matches will feature top international polo players competing with players from the Chicago area.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m. Tickets, available at the gate, are $10 adults; $5 senior citizens; children age 12 and under and parking are free.
The 2006 season will continue every Sunday through September 10. The summer season will feature charity benefits, corporate outings, special events and teams competing in high-goal tournaments weekly.
Entrance to the Oak Brook Polo Grounds is at 31st Street and Polo Drive, one-half mile west of York Road in Oak Brook.
