Triangle Charity Polo Classic to Benefit
Guiding Lights Caregiver Support Center
Special event will showcase polo match, tailgating,
and divot stomping for fans of all ages
WHAT: The inaugural Triangle Charity Polo Classic brought to you by La Cosa Bella Events will take place on Sun., June 8 at MacNair’s Country Acres, 4321 Tryon Road in Raleigh from noon – 6:30 p.m. The Triangle Area Polo Club (TAPC) will compete against the Atlanta Regional Polo Center in a benefit match to support Guiding Lights Caregiver Support Center, the premiere caregiving organization in the Triangle that assists family and professional caregivers in obtaining relevant, timely, and comprehensive information. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Guiding Lights Caregiver Support Center.
Tickets can be purchased in advance of the event for $15 per person online at www.trianglecharitypoloclassic.com or at the gate for $20 and children under 10 years old are free. General admission parking is $10. Special Tailgate Packages are also available for those who’d like to park by the field.
Johnson Maserati of Cary and J.M. Edwards Jewelry are official Title Sponsors with team naming rights. Additionally, Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. and Wells Fargo Bank have signed on as Title Sponsors. J.M. Edwards Jewelry will be providing silver trophies to the winning team. Johnson Maserati of Cary will have cars on display at the match as well.
Attendees can bring their own chairs and pack a picnic lunch or food, snacks and drinks can be purchased on-site. A limited number of tickets are available for the Umstead VIP Food & Beverage Tent. Throughout the afternoon, there will be contests with prizes for “Best Hat”, “Best Dressed Spectator” and “Best Tailgate”. At halftime, spectators are invited to take part in the traditional divot stomp on the field, to replace the grass divots turned over by the horses during play.

2:30 pm – Polo match begins
