The Spain and Andalusia Children and Junior Polo Championship, held on Los Pinos Fields, headquarters of the 44th Land Rover International Polo Tournament organized by Santa María Polo Club, finished today with great success of attendance.
The tournament has been organized by the Spanish Polo Federation, the Sports Council and the International Polo Federation, it took place at Santa María Polo Club and congregated nearly 50 children.
There were three categories in the championship: High Goal, Medium Goal and Low Goal. The 11 teams, many of them formed by sons of world polo figures such as Adolfo Cambiaso, Agustín García Grossi, Ignacio Toccalino, José Donoso and Alejo Taranco.
In Low Goal, the first place was for Ayala (Félix Toccalino, Santino Taranco, Elliot Galliene and Layla Shakib), the second place was for Santa María and Shakib Polo was the third one.
In Medium Goal, the first place was for Dos Lunas (Facundo García Grossi, Mia Cambiaso, María José Satrustegui and Santiago Estévez) and the second one was for El Caracol. La Querencia and Cornicabral were the third ones.
Finally, in High Goal, the victory was for La Indiana (Fran Gómez, Carlos Lucena Jr., Sofía Amieva and Will Harper), followed by Don Peludo. Santa Anita was the third team and Crin Blanca was the fourth.
Santa María Polo Club holds a Polo School, open all year and for pupils of all ages.
