Nov. 29th 06: Little Mac Makes the Semis of Copa Camara de Diputado in Argentina.

COPA CÁMARA DE DIPUTADO

Frederick Mannix, Jr. (aka Little Mac) and his high-scoring machine of Alegria scored nearly 20 goals a game. They take on a group of part time North American players Sol de Agosto with Martin de Narvaez who has played in Indio, CA and also Hugo Barabucci who is playing with Dan Horn this winter. On the otherside is California friendly Mariano Gonzalez and a Yank by the name of Nick Roldan, who was the best player in Santa Barbara this past Summer. They take on a team led by a pair of English brothers who are the sons of Claire Tomilison. They are called Luke and Mark. Its interesting to see so many foreign players in the semis who make up 6 of the 16 in the semis. That is a great percentage out of 16 teams or 64 players, but youth picks up at this level. Almost 1/2 or 8 players are under 25 years old of the final 16, but 6 are foriegners of the 8. I am still finding a lack of new superstars in the Southland.
