Round 3 of the Piaget Silver Cup is over and it had it’s surprises as Piaget ended the Lucchese run that started last year as Lucchese swept the season last year but it came to a halt today as Mrs. Ganzi and Piaget put the brakes on the black machine . The game was not do or die as both teams were thru to the semis on Friday anyway so can not read to much into it but the Piaget squad did fire today and they locked a 6 goal lead in at 1 time but had to fight off the AC in the end but they did so it turned out to be a big win for them . In the feature game it was ERG playing Audi and Gonzalo Pieres Jr who left here two years ago undefeated and returned today and kept it in line as they flowed past ERG in the last chukkar and head to a showdown with Piaget this Friday in the first Semi which will be at 2 pm and they should be dandy’s as Sebe Merlos and ERG take on Piaget and they have many time champion of Argentine Open Lolo Castagnola so it should be tough down the road. The last semi will feature the best two players in the World so there is no reason not to be there as Gonzalo And Aolfo will meet for the 100th time probably in a semi or a finals so it should be a very good day to watch Polo and it is all free . Not sure of the no-talk rule as it seems to be well quite loud at times but the weather was nice and it was hard to understand the speech deliverd by pros. I probably seen the dumbest thing I have ever seen at Polo today a groom leading 6 horses alongside of non horse people in between a field with a game and the spectators many laying down or setting on the grass it was bad enough game had to be stopped so could clear out but still horses and groom continued on this path along stands instead of being sent back or at least out on field where would be away from people as game was stopped for it . Someone was looking out for us today and we need to say thanks . Come and see us it wil be funnnnnnnnnnn.
Over in the UK it was England stopping Brasil in a huge game and guess what it did not rain it was awesome even on the internet .
