Luciano Barbera Polo Team rolled over Audi 7-3 in Grand Champions Winter Rush 12-goal Open Friday morning in Wellington, Florida.

Early goals from Andrew Seibert and Juancito Bollini were countered by a pair of goals from Audi’s Timmy Sharma as the teams deadlocked in a 2-2 tie after the opening chukker.

Tommy Biddle put Luciano Barbera on top, 3-2 in the second period and Seibert’s second goal of the game was complimented with lights out defense.  The chukker ended with Luciano Barbera extending its lead to 4-2.

With a light rain falling, both teams continued to battle up and down the field.  John Muse made several runs down the field for Audi, and long drives by teammate Hector Galindo threatened the Luciano Barbera goal time and again.

Sharma third goal of the game would be all the firepower that Audi would be able to muster for the rest of the game, as goals from Seibert and Biddle put Luciano Barbera on top of a 6-3 score.

Defenses tightened for the balance of the contest, with a final goal coming from Luciano Barbera’s Lucas Lalor for the 7-3 final.

“I haven’t played in a game since the fall,” said Luciano Barbera team captain Andrew Seibert, “except, of course, the snow polo tournament in Aspen.  It was a great experience,” he added.  “There was a lot of talent on the field.”

Seibert led the Luciano Barbera Polo Team with three goals.  Tommy Biddle added two goals and Juancito Bollini and Lucas Lalor added single goals for the win.

Timmy Sharma scored all three goals for Audi (John Muse, Timmy Sharma, Hector Galindo and Joey Casey).

“It got a little wet out there today,” offered Lucchese Boot Company CEO John Muse.  “It was a lot of fun,” he added.

The finals of the Grand Champions Winter Rush 12-goal Open will take place at 4 pm on Friday, February 12 when Luciano Barbera (Andrew Seibert, Juancito Bollini, Tommy Biddle and Lucas Lalor) will meet Grand Champions (Jonathan Levin, Melissa Ganzi, Juan Bollini and Juan Chavanne).
