Monday, Feb. 21-Luciano Barbera charged out to an early 3-1 lead in the opening chukker of the 2011 Audi Winter Challenge Cup on a pair of goals from Tommy Biddle and a single goal from Juan bollini.  Lucas Lalor accounted for Audi’s only score of the chukker as the fast-paced action featured a number of runs the length of the field.

Lalor opened the second chukker  with his second goal of the game, but was quickly countered by another goal from Juan Bollini.  Melissa Ganzi scored on a 100-yard run down the field to end the chukker with Luciano Barbera on top of a 5-2 score.

Scoring was hard to come by in the third chukker.  Several Audi shots at goal missed by inches, and miscued passing efforts by Luciano Barbera limited the team’s offense presence.  Juancito Bollini was credited with the only goal of the period, cutting the Luciano Barbera lead to two goals, 5-3.

Audi poured it on in the final chukker.  Goals from Juan Chavanne and Marc Ganzi had it all even at 5-5.  With time running out, Biddle drove the ball down the field to Juan Bollini.  A well-placed pass to Seibert looked like a sure goal when the whistle and final horn sounded.

On review of the final play, Seibert was awarded the winning goal on a rare Penalty 1 call from the umpire for a 6-5 victory, and Luciano Barbera completed a sweep of the weekend tournament.

Juan Bollini and Tommy Biddle were credited with scoring two goals apiece for Luciano Barbera.  Melissa Ganzi added a goal and Andrew Seibert got credit for the winning score.  Lucal Lalor led the Audi team with two goals.  Single goals were scored by teammates Marc Ganzi,  Juancito Bollini and Juan Chavanne.
