The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder

The Bolt (Fred Mannix) and Mini Mac (Julian Mannix) are headed north as they are going to field 1 on Sunday in the finals of the Ylvisacker Cup.  The Tournament is named after Bill Ylvisaker, who passed away a couple of days ago.

From what I hear, it was the Bolt himself scoring an amazing goal to win the semis with his lighting speed on the field and telling Mini to leave it.   It worked as they beat Zacara, a team that beat them in the last finals.  The Hawks will meet Luchesse,  who won over the Isla Carrol team in the last moments of their game.

Out west it has been a wet month so far as Mother Nature has dominated the Polo that there is there. ERG has controlled the 12-goal league thus far and they are taking a break this month so the field is open again. It looks to be an exciting Friday as the two winners most likley will head to the finals. Dawn Jones is in the other leagues so she can not win this Bronze as well.

Over at Twin Palms at La Quinta it seems to be where the action is wild and fun. Their parties keep it fun and they seem to be able to play most all their games. It was a big one as Gary Haydon’s team slipped by the competition and they are headed to a semis to duel with Chris Maloney’s Tritech team.  Party host Silent Chris Maloney and his lovely wife Laura, who started a new club in the desert called Twin Palms Polo Club at La Quinta.   If you want to enjoy the desert beauty stop by the Twin Palms Polo Club and take in the sights and the people it will be worth your time.

See ya at POLO.
