It had never happened before, but it did TODAY ! Alegria led by Fred Mannix, Jr. put a whipping on Pilara. I hear the score was 18 to 10.  This is the first time in history a qualifying team has beaten one of the Big Six it was the 3 M,s
Fred Mannix, Juan Merlos, Macho Man Julio Zavaleta the coach and a whole lot of help from Pancho Bensadon and hard-hitting Luke Thomlison.  If La Aguada would happen to stumble and Alegria win again, they could be in the finals of the Hurlingham Open.  Now that would blow the socks off more than a few people. A Canadian and an Englishman in the finals of the 2nd biggest tournament in the Universe. It is to be a big week for history as the 80-goal match is just about here and it is no exhibition.

WELL DONE…

Fred Mannix
Pancho Bensedon
Juan Merlos
Luke Tomlison and

Coach Julio Zavaleta.

P.S.
La Nacion, the news paper in Buenos Aire,s could not even believe it and printed it wrong as they say Pilara won. I am sure they will be corrected soon.

See ya good luck!
