INDIO, CA (March 16, 2007) – The Barbara Sinatra Skins Polo Tournament at Eldorado started this morning with two games played at 10 o’clock due to temperatures forecast to go into the 100’s (record setting).

Game one put underdog Tri Tech up against Hanalei Bay and the prevailing feeling was that Ron Bonaguidi and his crew would win with relative ease. Put simply – it didn’t happen and Chris Maloney got his Skins hopes started on the right foot. Leading by one at the half and tied at five after four and pushed by a huge effort by Mariano Gutierrez (8 goals), Tri Tech outscored the Islanders by four in the last two and won by a score of 11 – 7.

Game two was completely different than the first and at the same time nothing had changed as Grant’s Farm Manor/Windsor Capital faced Long Beach. Matthew Walker and Henry Randazzo started fast, leading by three early on, but were unable to keep the advantage and trailed by four at the end making a final of 9 – 5 favoring Grant’s Farm/ Windsor. In otherwords the giant that is Andy Busch and Co. keeps on rolling.

Tournament continues on Sunday with Grant’s Farm Windsor vs. Hanalei Bay and Tri Tech facing Long Beach in the feature. Wins by Busch and Maloney would almost insure their appearance in the Skins final on March 25.
