The Legend was in town and it made a nothing game into something. This is what happens when there is a star on the field. Memo Gracida is in his down years after 21 years as a 10-goal player. He has played around the World and age has won. Memo is 50+ and obivously not the same as he was when he won the the last U.S. OPEN played on the west coast, but he lifts the game here. At Eldorado we had a 17-goal exhibition match for the Safe House Charity Event and it was just the best game of the season for many reasons. The game moved and it flowed and except for umpires was a very good game! More polo people watched this game than any all season because there was a star on the field. The Club even had boards on both sides today. I AM NOT SURE WHY, BUT ITS THE FIRST TIME IN 8 WEEKS of polo we’ve had both sides boarded.

Today there was one finals and it was at 10 a.m. between Fish creek and the speed demon named Brianna Galindo who is her Uncle Hector’s replica. She does like speed and they were a couple better than Friendly Chev and Curt Hughes who played a very good game. He might have scored one more goal if his teammate Long and Sexy Shelley Geiler was not blocking the goal, but it was a good game anyway. Other than that it was like a dead day at polo. The Colorado Cowgirl Miss Jenny Luttrell signed her name to the 8-goal Bronze and Windsor Capital/Grant’s Farm signed the Bronze in the 16-Goal. Cam Clark Ford did the same in the 4- goal/ 6-chukker as it was history last week when there are no finals that can happen. Thank goodness for Memo Gracida. It was awesome of Dan Horn to organize Memo to play on his team. That is why we need glamour back in our sport. Polo is a sport of Glamour and fame even though we are not, it is. Congratulations to the Feb. Kings:

16-goal Windsor Cap/Grant’s Farm + Nick Morrision

8-goal Cotterel Farms and Ms. Jenny Luttrell

4-goal /6-chukker Cam Clark Ford and Cam’s desire to suceed bones and all.

4-goal /4-chukker 4 Fish Creek and the flying Galindo “Brianna ”
