The Grand Champions Polo Club moves into their sixth week of fall competition with the 2015 USPA Fall Plates.
Some new faces will be joining the Grand Champions regulars with Dr. Scott Swerdlin of the Palm Beach Equine Clinic; Bob Puetz, USPA Executive Director of Services and the United States Polo Association’s new Chairman, Joe Meyer.
Travieso (Tim Dutta, Tony Calle, Guille Aguero and Carlucho Arellano) and the Dutta Corp. (Timmy Dutta, Wes Finlayson, Jesse Bray and Carlitos Gracida) will get the tournament with a 2pm game on Friday, November 6th.
At 3:30pm on Friday afternoon, Barbarossa Leather (Santos Bollini, Leo Mandelbaum, Juan Bollini and Julio Ezcurra), Postage Stamp Farm (Annabelle Gundlach, Bob Puetz, Brandon Phillips and Martin Estrada) and High Ground Polo (Scott Swerdlin, Joe Meyer, Nic Roldan and J.J. Celis) will engage in a nine chukker round-robin with each team laying the other in a three chukker mini-match.
In the opening three chukkers of play, Barbarossa will face Postage Stamp Farm. The winner of that game will sit out and the loser will face High Ground Polo. For the final three chukkers, High Ground Polo will battle the winner of the Barbarossa vs. Postage Stamp Farm.
On Sunday, November 8th, Friday’s winners will meet in a noon final. A three team round-robin consolation match will take place at 10am.
