Its show time in San Diego and the show was on today as all 3 games were won by 1 goal and 2 games went into OT. So its fair to say the handicaps should not go up. The games got underway at 11 a.m. and it was a good one as Hanalei Bay and Bones (Ron Bonaguidi) took on Ms. Figi and her Gypsy’s. It was a battle beyond as Suzanne Figi continued to pick young Collin Wood and let her players loose. It made Bones have to take Suzanne so they could run and fight. It came down to a down and out brawl for 5 chukkers. At the very end of the 5th Suzanne Figi was hit in the elbow with a mallet and could not grip the mallet so decided not to play the balance of the game. This broke the momentum. By the time a replacement was found Hanalei Bay regrouped and exploded for 3 quick goals, but the Surfer (Diego Cossio) brought them back to within 1 with a minute to go. No calls made it a wild and disputed game in the end, but it was Hanalei Bay going to 2 & 1 and Gypsy to 1 & 2.

In the second game it was billed as a war from the Northwest, but due to a family death wild Bill Freeman was unable to play and young Chris Collins decided to help Dad and he did a great job. With 8 seconds left they led by 1 SouthWind /Corleone and then 4 people on the same team all missed a shot to clear and whoops Hidden Creek put it in and sent it to OT and won with about 34 seconds gone in OT. So now Hidden Creek climbs out of the cellar and is joined by Corleone /Southwind at 1 & 2 to join Gypsy.

In the 3 p.m. special it was undefeated Tri Tech and Madison Square teeing off and early. It was Madison Square up by 3 and later it would be Tritech up by 3 and in the 5th it got close, but it was still Tri Tech by 1 at the finish with a late great goal by Fast-etta (Mariano Fassetta). The 6th started wrong for Madison Square as Tritech scored quick, but Madison Square never quit. The Pretty Lady Bosstick had her head down and pushing all 100 lbs of herself and Juan Ho (Juan Jose Gonzalez) fighting it. The Palomino (Jason Crowder) and Fast-etta (Mariano Fassetta) did their job and they tied it after the first bell had rung. In OT it was two fine horses, the real heroes, as the Palomino (Jason Crowder) on Ready out muscled Federico Von Wernich down the field. A horse named Dance carried Mariano Fassetta to the golden goal as she blew by the field. So it was like at the 7 are you Ready 2 Dance. Never mind … read the story until U know. Sunday will be the battle down the Home stretch as they say. Nobody is out. Gotta go to the Crash and Burn party which is tonight and it will be so much fun, but that’s the way it is in S.D. where they play polo, party and enjoy the World we live in.

See ya and yes there are 4 games Sat. in the 6-goal and I lost my schedule, so come and see for yourself its POLO.
