Polo team Joe Bullard Hummer won the Point Clear Polo 6-goal Classic held in Point Clear, AL. The tradition of the popular Fall polo event took place on Oct. 8th, ’06. There was a tournament final, consolation match, silent auction, parade of Hummers, a wooden horse competition for kids and tailgating. The proceeds from this annual charity event are donated by the Point Clear Polo Foundation to the USA Cancere Research Institute.
In 2005, USA Cancer Research Institute receive a $100,000 donation from Point Clear Polo Classic. Point Clear Polo has sponsored USA cancer research for more than a decade, generating apporximately $3.1 million in support of an endowed chair in cancer reearch and other projects, including $200,000 in contributions to Project Hope, a program benefiting pediatric cancer patients at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
