Indio, CA (December 1, 2008) – After easily winning the Road Runner tournament a week earlier, Bill Garlock’s Park Lane quartet took aim at the 3 goal Go Honey event at the Eldorado Polo Club on the Thanksgiving weekend. Their first game against Empire on Saturday, a repeat of last week’s final, was won easily 10 – 4, and it got even easier on Sunday as they walked over Deep Water Grill by a count of 9 – 2. The two wins put Park Lane on top of the standings at 2 – 0.

Splitting second and third spots are Ed Pope’s Aspen Oaks (def. Empire 7 -6) and Bill Zeiring’s Deep Water Grill (def. Aspen Oaks 5 – 4) with records of 1 – 1. Empire at 0 – 2 are not necessarily out of it depending on what happens next Saturday. A victory by Empire over Deep Water Grill would move them to 1 – 2 and should Park Lane prevail over Aspen Oaks there would be a three-way tie at 1 – 2. Such a scenario would resort to net goals to determine an opponent for Park Lane in the final.

The only sure thing at this point is that Park Lane will be in the final based on their rather large stock of net goals.
