Polo America Expo will return to Las Vegas at the South Point Casino and Equestrian Center on September 30 – October 2, 2011. Once again polo players from all over the world will unite in Las Vegas to see the latest in polo equipment, attend seminars, network, watch polo and enjoy the camaraderie of polo.
The South Point Casino and Equestrian Center provides the perfect venue for Polo America Expo. The expanded floor space allows for the breakfast, brunch, lunches and cocktail reception to remain inside the Polo Village. Polo America has also formatted a sixty- minute break between each seminar to allow attendees ample time to shop. The Polo Village has been billed as “one stop polo shopping”. Attendees can find everything from tack, saddles, boots, feed, barns, fences, insurance, clothes, helmets, mallets, real estate, tractors, trucks, polo clubs, feed, supplements, knee pads, shavings, instruction, barn interiors, publications, polo vacations, polo schools, immigration information, equine art, polo organizations, photography, arenas, watering systems, arena rakes, goal posts, horses, cloning, infrared scans of horses and players, horse transportation, stall mats, jewelry, trailers, field maintenance, and much more.
The Polo Village has increased to 80,000 square feet. This is twice the size of the last Expo. The Polo Village will feature over 150 exhibitors. To increase traffic to the vendors and expose more people to polo the Polo Village will be open to the general public free of charge. All 4600 attendees to the U.S. Open Arena Polo Championship will gain entrance to the arena by walking through the Polo Village.
There will be seminars on topics ranging from horse hauling, hiring a pro, polo club management, women’s polo, secrets to announing a polo game, barn management, purchasing a horse, polo instruction, polo marketing, cloning and much more.
On the social side the Black Tie Blue Jeans Awards dinner will be held on September 30th to honor Polo Angels: George Rawlings and Sunny Hale, Polo Sponsor of the Decade: Ford Trucks and Polo America Lifetime Achievement recipient Tony Coppola. Throughout the weekend there are numerous cocktail receptions, lunches and a Sunday brunch. For the ladies there will be a fashion show on Friday afternoon. Lamborghini will be offering test drives throughout the weekend. And if you ever wanted to try Segway Polo you can try it in the Polo Village on Saturday afternoon.
A major addition this year is the return of polo to Las Vegas. After 30 years polo will once again be played in Las Vegas. The finals of the Mens and Womens U.S. Open Arena Polo Championship will be played in the 4600 seat South Point Arena on Saturday night. For the men preliminary games will be played at the California Polo Club. Sunny Hale at WCT will be handling the ladies teams.
