Feb. 14th ’10 – James Ashton died after a fatal fall when his horse went down at speed in a 10-Goal Polo Match at Polo Escape in Thailand. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, but James did not make it in time. James was the FIP Interim President and a major polo supporter in Australia.
The Rotary Club Eastern Seaboard Pattaya go out to the Family, Friends, the Worldwide Polo Fraternity and the Polo Escape Pattaya learning of the demise of Sir James W Ashton. He came to Thailand on a goodwill mission and he left us with shattered emmotions. May his after-life be as fulfilling as it was his earthly being. James W Ashton – RIP! The world has lost a true Horseman!
