. . . Argentina ? That’s what it is Jack “Ruki” Baillieu is Indiana Jones in South America’s capital of Polo  . . . Pilar.  He just happens to own some of the finest fields there in a spectacular setting just moments away from Alegria and the throne of Polo La Ellerstina.  If your looking for chukkars , games or horses, the fields in Pilar are the center piece for seeing them all or for just playing some polo.  They have a connection with other polo ranches in the area, so you can try horses there or just have a very good time in the splendid area which is the home of some of Polo’s biggest stars including the Pieres’, Gonzalez’, Alberdi’s and Merlos’ and about 50 others.  Even Johnny Fiorto lives there during the Polo season. This is where it happens and yes you can speak English in most places.  It is not like California . . . so give it a try.  If you are looking for fun and games on non open days call or email ruki@laindianapolo.com. and yes Ruki does speak English it is just Down Under English.  If you need an interpreter contact Julio Zavaleta at La Alegria .

The big show starts this Sat. as Ellerstina looks like Zenyatta did in the Breeder’s Cup.  They are in the Argentine Open and they are going to be hard to beat.  They will be back to full power with the return of Mr Nero, but it’s Polo and nobody knows how the game will end.  Yet,  we all do  know how it can go wrong in a heartbeat that’s why we love this game.

I have another suggestion for Polo people . . .  if you want to have a perfect swing and it just will not come to you . . . try a little known but amazing therapy done by Kit Collins and his Virtual Polo.  He has the answers if you have the talent.  He can make it look so good! His info is Virtual Polo 1-513-225-4262 crcpolo@virtualpolo.com.  It is a perfect and easy way to get ahead in a very quick way.  Look him  up.

Have fun and if staying State-side there is still Polo in Aiken, Tampa and I think in Palm Beach.  So do not give up the hunt for Sunday with a smile .

See ya.
