For the second time, rains have caused play in the 2016 Hurlingham Open in Argentina to be postponed. Previous rainfall caused the scheduling for the second leg of the Argentine Triple Crown of Polo to play four games on Sunday with second round games scheduled to be played on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather, however, put an end to that.
El Paraiso (Agustin Merlos, Ignacio Toccalino, Ignacio Heguy and Santiago Toccalino) was scheduled to play Cria Yatay (Lucas James, Magoo Laprida, Joaquin Pittaluga and Inaki Laprida) in a 2pm Hurlingham Open game followed by a 4:15pm contest between La Dolfina (Adolfo Cambiaso, David Stirling, Pablo MacDonough and Juan Martin Nero) and La Aguada-Las Monjitas (Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Francisco Elizalde, Miguel Novillo Astrada and Ignacio Novillo Astrada).
On Thursday afternoon Alegría (Guillermo Caset, Hilario Ulloa, Lucas Monteverde and Fred Mannix) was scheduled to play La Irenita (Juan Ruiz Guiñazu, Juan M. Zavaleta, Matías MacDonough and Clemente Zavaleta) at 2pm with Ellerstina (Facundo Pieres, Gonzalo Pieres, Polito Pieres and Nico Pieres) battling Washington (Diego Cavanagh, Tomas Garcia Del Rio, Facundo Sola and Alfredo Cappella) at 4:15pm.
Following the cancellation of Wednesday and Thursday games, the balance of the tournament schedule is yet to be determined. The final is set to be played on Saturday, November 5th.
