12th Annual Ronald Reagan Memorial Tournament

The finals of the 12th annual Ronald Reagan Memorial Tournament was held May 16th at the Will Rogers Polo Club in Los Angeles, CA. The late President Reagan was a frequent spectator at Will Rogers until shortly before his death.

The tournament was a 2 day, 5 chukkar, 5 player per team format.  After two days of high speed action and lots of goal scoring, Pacific Palisades (Andrew Bossom, John Waybill, Hannah Taylor Soheil Goel and Sean Goel) ended up with the victory over Malibu (Bill Davis, Alice Zegers, Abe Hernandez, Chuck Stanislawski.  Over the two days, Bill Davis scored 12 of Malibu’s 15 goals, Chuck added 2 and Alice Zegers scored 1.  In a very balanced win, Andrew and Sean each scored 5 goals for Pacific Palisades, John scored 3 and Hannah scored 1 goal.  Soheil scored 6 and received the MVP trophy. Andrew Bossom’s mare Caru was named best playing pony.
